NDC Candidates Praise Dickson for Steering Party Through INEC Delay

Candidates of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) have strongly praised their National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson. They commended him for his key role in making sure the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) finally published the party’s official candidate list.
During a period of high tension and uncertainty, the candidates described Dickson as the strong, stabilizing force that held the young political party together.
A Steady Hand During Trying Times
The earlier delay by INEC in publishing the final names had caused a lot of worry. Many candidates noted that the delay left their political futures very uncertain. However, they now credit Senator Dickson directly for stepping in and successfully resolving the difficult situation.
Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, the NDC candidate for the Abia Central Senatorial district, spoke highly of his leadership. She stated that Dickson “deserves accolades for the way he navigated the trying times” involving the party primaries, internal reconciliations, and candidate nominations.
“Nobody is perfect, but he acted in the interest of our party, NDC,” Senator Nwaogu added.
A Call for Complete Party Unity
Beyond praising the party leader, Senator Nwaogu also had an important message for other party members. She urged all the aspirants who did not win their tickets this time to see the situation as a long-term political journey, rather than a final defeat.
As the 2027 general elections get closer, she called on everyone within the NDC to put their differences aside and unite fully behind the party’s current push for victory.
