Popular human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has sparked a massive debate across the country after a trending video showed her refusing to stand for the newly reinstated national anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”

While other guests at the event stood up to honor the anthem, Yesufu remained firmly seated in a silent but bold protest against the recent changes made by the government. She later shared the clip on her social media, making her stance very clear with the hashtag #NotMyNationalAnthem.
