INEC Faces Massive Task as Millions of Voters Await Verification

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is facing intense public scrutiny as more than 10 million fresh voter registrations await biometric verification and de-duplication ahead of the 2027 general elections.

As reported by Vanguard News, the electoral body recorded over 10.3 million completed entries across the phases of its nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise. According to data published on the INEC Official Portal, millions of Nigerians turned out to register both online and in person across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
