Chaos in Delta State: Governor’s Aide Brutally Attacked at APC Party Meeting

What was supposed to be a peaceful gathering of political leaders has ended in total chaos. An All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting held in Effurun, Delta State, collapsed into violence on Sunday, leaving party members shocked and several people injured.
How the Violence Started
According to reports from the scene, the crisis started during the meeting and quickly turned into a free-for-all fight. The situation escalated when Tempo Mudi, the protocol aide to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, was violently attacked.
Shockingly, the attackers were not from an opposition party. They were allegedly fellow APC members who are loyal to a state commissioner. The commissioner, who was also caught up in the violent clash, was badly injured and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Warri.
The Government Takes Action
The Delta State Government has quickly stepped in to handle the situation. The government has strongly condemned the violence and officially ordered the immediate arrest of everyone involved in the brawl.
The police have already launched a massive manhunt to track down the suspects who turned a political meeting into a battleground.
A Divided House
This incident is raising serious concerns about the internal unity of the ruling party in Delta State. The damage to the party’s image is already done, as this was clearly a case of the APC brawling within its own ranks rather than an attack from political rivals.
As the police continue their search for the attackers, many political watchers are waiting to see how the party leadership will resolve this deep internal division.
