Pastor Paul Enenche Responds to Sheikh Jingir’s “Infidel” Remarks

Religious tensions flared recently after prominent Islamic cleric Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir reportedly referred to Christians as “infidels.” This comment, made while discussing Nigeria’s Muslim-Muslim political ticket, quickly drew a sharp and passionate response from Pastor Paul Enenche.

“Do Not Take Us For Granted”

Pastor Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, did not hold back in his condemnation of the cleric’s words. He fired back, making it clear that such divisive language is unacceptable in a nation built on diversity.

Enenche warned against taking the Christian community in Nigeria for granted. He stressed that words have consequences, especially when they come from religious leaders who hold significant influence over their followers.

Christians Are Not Outsiders

At the core of Enenche’s message was a strong defense of the place of Christians in Nigeria. He insisted that Christians are an integral and equal part of the nation’s fabric.

He firmly stated that no group, regardless of their religious or political beliefs, has the right to treat Christians as outsiders or second-class citizens in their own country. The Pastor emphasized the need for mutual respect and unity, rather than using political discussions to insult or alienate people of different faiths.
